I believe in the therapeutic benefits of the Iyengar style.  These benefits include improved posture, muscle strengthening, and the release of stress. In my classes, you can expect a refreshing experience as you improve both your hatha yoga skills, and your inner well being.

The caterpillar symbolizes the routine of daily life, forgetting to care about spirit. The coccoon is when you turn your awareness inward and connect with your soul. The butterfly eventually emerges, feeling whole and free, mind, body and soul in balance. ~Wendy Davis

My name is Wendy Davis

My goal is to bring balance to my classes by increasing awareness of the mind/body connection. I am a registered nurse and have been a fitness instructor for 31 years. For the past fourteen years I have focused on yoga, believing in the therapeutic benefits of the Iyengar style. Benefits include improved posture, muscle strengthening, and release of muscle tension.

My classes are easy to follow for individuals new to yoga, but also provide enough challenge and information for intermediate students to further their training. I use my medical background to educate and protect my students regarding the specific benefits and risks involved with each yoga asana.

I provide individualized guidance with attention given to specific physical and health challenges. In my classes you can expect a refreshing experience as you gently build your strength, while improving your inner well being.
